Our policy about doing work on minors is this: PA State Law says that a parent must be present when a minor is having anything done in a tattoo studio. TATTOOS: Nobody under the age of 17 can have a tattoo done at our studio. We will tattoo a 17 year old, as long as both Parent and Child have a state or government issued photo ID, such as a PA Drivers License/ PA Identification card, a Passport, or a Military ID. And the minor must also bring a birth certificate. BODY PIERCING: Body piercings such as the ears, nose, navel, and lip piercings can be done on anyone 13 and older. We do need photo ID for the parent and the minor. Since it is difficult to get a photo ID for a minor, this is what we can use: a School ID, school yearbook, Lifetouch Safe Kids Card, a passport, or military ID, along with the child's birth certificate. We DO NOT do tongue piercings on anyone under 17 because of potential damage to the teeth and gums, We also DO NOT do nipple and genital piercings on anyone under the age of 18 for obvious reasons. Everyone, regardless of age, MUST HAVE a government issued ID card (Drivers License, Passport, etc) to have anything done in our studio. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy! We cannot allow a step-parent to sign for any minor child to have anything done, Only a Parent named on the birth certificate may sign for the minor.
